Exec Committee Plan for 2026+ - Be Part of Our Success
Our new committee structure has been in place now for two months and we have invested time in reviewing our current status quo and what we want to achieve by the end of this season.
Firstly, it’s worth noting that we are in a really strong position and we are the envy of many of our local clubs. This is based on many factors from our numbers of active players, our newly created women’s section, our strength of coaching, our top class facilities and the excellent support of our sponsors, without which we would struggle.
However as always we can get better and we have agreed a set of objectives for this season which address key areas of focus and put us in a stronger position to truly think about longer term ambitions/aspirations for the club.
The one page plan is attached fyi but in summary the main items in the plan are to:
- Relieve pressure on the main pitch, which is used by all teams for training as well as the big match days.
- Re-establish the Bobcats to retain girls in rugby and allow a pathway into our new women’s section
- Improve the consistency and quality of coaching throughout the age groups
- Ensure better management and long term focus on our finances to help deliver these plans
- Improve our community outreach with neighbours, council, local businesses and other sporting and charitable organisations
However as always we are reliant on volunteers to deliver these objectives and we will not be able to achieve this without more assistance. We have numerous opportunities that need people to own and deliver against, some of which require just 1-2 hours a week. I will circulate a note tomorrow on these specific roles but if you can assist in any way please do reach out.
Finally over the last few weeks in particular, having spent a lot of time comparing notes with other clubs, it is apparent that we really do have have something special here which we need to continue to nurture and grow.
