1XV Vs Buckingham - Saturday 7th April 2018

3 months ago By Simon Tattersall

The 1XV attempt to secure the league title on Saturday against Buckingham. Please see all details needed including car parking and bar opening!!!

After a fantastic season winning 18 out of 19 games to date the 1XV have the chance to secure the league title on Saturday at Oak Lodge Meadow (Kick Off 3:00pm). However standing in the way are a very talented and strong Buckingham side who are currently 2nd in the table. Beaconsfield defeated Buckingham just prior to Christmas in a thrilling encounter with an 80th minute penalty from Aled Lewis. Those of you that made the trip to Buckingham will know the challenge awaiting the 1XV on Saturday.

The level of support in the last few weeks has been exceptional and a huge number of supporters travelled over to Aylesbury to see the 1XV perform excellently in a 42-7 victory. We are expecting the club to be very busy on Saturday with over 100 people booked in for the pre-match lunch and supporters from all sections of the club turning out in force.

With this in mind please note that the club will be open from 12:00pm and it is highly recommended that you arrive early. The bar will be open and so nobody will go thirsty and it will provide an opportunity to soak up the atmosphere and catch up with friends and former players. As many of you will know car parking at the club is limited!! All car parks will be open including the 4 x 4 car park but we ask that you PLEASE PARK CONSIDERATELY thinking of other drivers and the local residents. Where possible walk, use one of the many local taxi services or car share (just pretend you're binding in the front row)!!

The match kicks off at 3:00pm and it would be fantastic for you all to make your way out of the clubhouse and to the touchline to support the players taking to the field at 2:55pm. It promises to be a super day at the club and a cracking game of rugby between the two best teams in the league. Win, lose or draw - post match we will all share a beer together as a team and with our opponents respecting the true values of Rugby Union.

See everybody on Saturday from 12:00pm onwards!!
